Describe you as a couple in 15 words or phrases: Compassionate, thoughtful, well-read, silly, curious and loving.
What is your story?: We met in grad school in Kim Baldus' 18th Century Literature course at UMSL. It was my (Liz) first class as a grad student and one of Troy's last semesters. He waited until the class and Christmas was over to ask me out for coffee via Facebook. We met at the Starbucks on Olive Blvd a little over two years ago and have been together since. This is our official story, but Troy likes to bring up the fact that we had a class together as undergrads and tries to insist that I didn't remember him. I did... kind of.
Bride: Troy is funny, handsome, and very intellegent. But the thing that I love most about him is his heart and that he isn't afraid to show how much he cares about others. He is always concerned about and sensitve to those around him. I think everyone he loves, including me, is very lucky.
Groom: I love that Lizzie is sensible, pretty, and funny; that she reads as much as I do (and understands what she reads); I love that she is a teacher, and will be a great mother; I love, perhaps most of all, that she brings out the best in me.
Describe your perfect Saturday together: Get up around 8 A.M. and go to breakfast. Spend the day out together shopping, going to the zoo, hiking, or seeing a movie. Going home and making dinner. Then having friends over for drinks and games.
Bride fun fact: Liz loves to bake and makes really good oatmeal butterscotch cookies. She also has a sister who is 14 years younger than her.
Groom fun fact: Troy was in a heavy metal band and his first job was as an improv actor.
